Christopher Turley Armed Forces Community Hub Officially Opens In Dawley

A new community space supporting serving personnel, veterans, and their families has officially opened in Dawley.

The Christopher Turley Armed Forces Community Hub, based at Dawley House, Burton Street, honours Chris Turley, a former councillor, veteran, and long-time advocate for the armed forces community who passed away in 2024.

Developed by Telford & Wrekin Council, Great Dawley Town Council, and Telford Mind, the Hub will offer advice, signposting, and social activities in a welcoming environment.

This new space adds to the fantastic network of veteran support available locally, including the work we do here at Ex-Forces to Community — helping former service personnel and their families across Telford to stay connected and supported.

The Hub is now open at 22 Burton Street, Dawley (TF4 2ES), with regular drop-ins and community events.
